Welcome to the Top 10 website!
The aim of this programme was to identify, through international consensus, the ten top priorities in translational research in breast cancer and thereby encourage the targeting of the best research to them. It has been a global programme, with contributions invited from around the world and from those of you who registered as participants here, in order to vote for the research you felt was of the highest priority.
Over 300 ideas and proposals for translational research in breast cancer were submitted by clinicians, academics and researchers from around the globe. They were first collated by the steering committee and a consolidated shortlist produced, on which registrants were invited to vote.
We are pleased to announce that the voting results are now in and we can reveal the list of top ten research priorities, as voted for by registered participants. To access the website and see the list, enter your details here (your personal details are required for login purposes only) or enter your user name and password if you have already registered.
All registrants will be emailed a full report, including details on the breakdown of the voting, in due course.
The Top 10 programme steering committee is comprised of the following group of internationally respected specialists in breast cancer. Members have all been involved in the forefront of breast cancer research and have identified the need for an international consensus on what should be the focus of future endeavours in this fast-moving area. The Top 10 project has been developed in consultation with members of the steering group in order to ensure the scientific robustness of this exercise.
